Note that by enabling faster and higher volume data transfer rates than ever before. The FT600Q-B USB 3.0 Sync FIFO Driver introduces the FT600 as well as the FT601 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ICs. Likewise, these chips provide USB access to a much wider range of data-intensive imaging as well as data acquisition applications.
FT600Q-B USB 3.0 Sync FIFO Driver
You will note that this series of chips include two vendor-class USB devices. These are currently supported by the D3XX driver on here. Likewise, the FT600, as well as the FT601, operate as SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to FIFO bridges. Additionally offering up to 5Gbps of bandwidth on the bridges. Note further that the FT600 is a 56-pin QFN package.
Likewise also features a 16-bit wide FIFO bus interface. While offering this the FT601 is provided in a 76-pin package and includes a 32-bit wide FIFO bus interface. See which chip or IC it is that you will need for your project.
Note that these chips support up to 8 endpoints. Likewise, there are also other 2 additional communication endpoints available on them. Additionally, this allows you to create up to 4 data IN and up to 4 data OUT channels. In addition to the double buffering which allows up to 4kByte length for IN as well as 4kByte for OUT.
Note that the advantage of this series of chips is how easy it is to connect and control without additional firmware. This is what you would call a “fit and forget” solution. Additionally, this device is featured alongside our complete range of USB products in our USB brochure, which you can access here. Likewise see the FT245B USB FIFO IC Drivers and the HTC U Ultra Drivers.
What is the FT600Q-B USB 3.0 Sync FIFO Driver
- USB3.0 Digital Video Camera Interface
- USB3.0 Instrumentation
- Interfacing PLD/FPGA based designs to USB3.0
- Utilizing USB to add system modularity
Now, let’s take a look at the key hardware features of the FT600Q-B USB 3.0 Sync FIFO Driver. It offers support for USB 3.0 SuperSpeed (5Gbps), USB High Speed (480Mbps), and USB 2.0 Full Speed (12Mbps) transfers. Furthermore, it is available with either a 16-bit or 32-bit wide parallel FIFO interface. The device supports 2 parallel slave FIFO bus protocols, with a data bursting rate of up to 400MBps. It also facilitates a multi-channel FIFO interface and provides up to 8 configurable endpoints (pipes). Note that it uses the same drivers as the F600/FT601 Series Driver and the FT245R USB FIFO Driver.
Moreover, the FT600Q-B incorporates a built-in 16kB FIFO data buffer RAM and supports multi-voltage I/O options, including 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V. It offers configurable GPIO support, supports Remote Wakeup capability, and provides USB Battery Charger Detection. Additionally, it features an integrated power-on-reset circuit and operates within an extended temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Note that the device is available in compact Pb-free QFN-56 (16-bit FT600) and QFN-76 (32-bit FT601) packages. Finally also see the HTC Sync Manager Windows on here.
