CP2104 USB to UART Driver

USB DriverThe CP2104 USB to UART Driver is added below and is widely used on a number of UART bridges. Also called the  cp2104 driver. This or the cp2104 usb to uart bridge controller driver. The adapter we are covering here is the module which is a USB adapter or programmer for the ESP01 which is based on ESP8266 WiFi micro-controller.

This module uses the CP2104 USB serial port chip and will also add the ESP01 automatic download circuit. This WiFi module will automatically enter the download mode. This hardware with the  cp210x_universal_windows_driver hardware ID is what the driver is for.

The adapter is very versatile as it can also act as a USB to UART/Serial adapter much like others on this website.

CP2104 driver Instillation (Windows 10 + Window 11 only) 

This is package version is the latest which was released in 2022 which includes the driver for the Windows 10 driver. This is the CP210x VCP driver for Windows 10 both 32 bit as well as 64 bit. You will note that the VCP drivers of version 10.0.0 and later are released for Windows 10 as universal drivers. This means that the driver will not work on older versions of Windows such as Window 7 and 8.1. These will only work on the chipsets of CP2102N, CP2102, CP2103, CP2104, CP2105, CP2108 and CP2109. CP2104 driver Instillation (Windows 10 + Window 11 only) 

The Windows 8.1 (x86 32/64 bit), Windows 8 (x86 32/64 bit) as well as the – Windows 7 (x86 32/64 bit)is also added below. This will work on the following chipsets CP2102N, CP2102, CP2103, CP2104, CP2105, CP2108 as well as the CP2109. You will note that these are much like the ones above. Download the file and extract the content, then click on the installation file. The CP2104 USB to UART bridge controller driver Windows 7 will then install.   • You must fall install the CP2104 driver
  • Now plugin the  ESP-01/01S to the ESP Link
  • 3.Install the Arduino IDE 1.6.8 or greater
